Recent Trainings

In the past few weeks I’ve had the pleasure of being back in the trainee seat. I just finished the Facilitator Training Program at Training Resources Group. Trainers Helen Petrozzola and Andrea Scott were truly phenomenal, consistently modeling the skills they were helping us learn. For me, as a solo practitioner, the opportunity for detailed feedback from expert colleagues was a dream come true.

I also took a series of trainings at the Conflict Center on Restorative Practices (with several great trainers including my friend Kristen Noble). I’d known for years about RP (also known as restorative justice or victim-offender reconciliation), but this is my first real experience with it. Happily the skills I already have in mediation and facilitation transfer to this new arena well.

Both programs left me fired up. I’m excited about the possibilities of using my skills in new arenas, as well as about the possibility of conducting more training myself in the near future. Stay tuned!

well done Suzanne. Being a student is fun, even if you teach. Hope the skills serve in the next phases of your career.
